Doctor K's Professional Cobalt SedanSource: MSN Autos...Never smoked in the car. All windows just retinted. Car fully repainted in 1993. Gold pin stripes. Looks distinguished. Cons: Almost nothing other than dark blue = the wrong color for FL. Heats up in sun. Would trade Goodyears for another brand. Trunk interior will be cleaned. A bit of white paint on front bumper and scratches on rear bumper. Lap seat belts don't retract fully. Overall: Fine. Keeps up and fully equipped. Low mileage. Minor scratches and no dents... |

A HUGE difference from the little Cobalt.Source: MSN Autos...2 USB hookups for I-pad, OnStar, powered Sunroof, 17 inch tires, 6 speed automatic transmission, 4 wheel anti-lock disc brakes, Remote Start, heated Leather seats, A/C, CD / DVD Player with HDD, 10 airbags, 9 speakers, teescopic steering wheel, and other accessories. IN short, the type options you would expect on a much higher price "Luxury Car". A definate well priced and well equilled vehicle that is fun to drive. Cons: The only thing is starting out in first gear with the AC on. It seems to initially lag. Still the car only has 3500 miles on it and isn't really broke in. Overall: Very... |

Chevrolet Cobalt SS Turbo CoupeSource: Cars.com...The SS comes with a Pioneer subwoofer in the trunk. It's not very powerful, but it does offer a decent amount of bass. The Cobalt has very decent trunk space. The 5-speed manual transmission isn't as short as I'd like it to be. In fact, it can be really clunky at times. If you're in the market for a less than $20k coupe (or even a sedan) and you've been thinking about cars like the RX-8 or Civic Si, look no further. The Cobalt SS Turbo is the best bang for your buck. We're talking about a turbocharged, 260 hp, 260 ft-lb of torque, ~2900 lb, 5-seater that can average anywhere between 23-26 mpg in... |

Much better car than I expectedSource: Cars.com...We also wanted a car with front and side airbags. We found a 2009 Cobalt with stick shift for a good price. My wife and I let our daughter use our minivan until she got use to the stick shift. After using the Cobalt for 2 weeks, we did not want to give it back. The car handles great. It the quietest car we have had in 30 years. The fit and finish is excellent. The Cobalt goes forever on a tank of gas. The car has a lot more room on the inside than mid size cars we have had in the past. I would recomend the Cobalt to anyone looking for a used car."... |

The Cobalt has an acceptable ride, but when compared to almost all of its rivals, most of which have been redesigned in the past couple of years, it’s difficult to make a case for it.
For example, the Honda Civic and Ford Focus offer the same variants, such as coupe or sedan versions, and provide better handling in comparison.
The redesign in both also yields more modern, attractive interiors with the only drawback being the Honda Civic’s slightly cramped rear compartment.
Other than these two, even the Corolla, Sentra, and Elantra have more desirable and better-equipped interiors, as well as a better all-around feel.
