Great looks, but engine soso
Source: Edmunds

...Admittedly, one of the best looking cars ever built: a good combo of elegence and muscle.
However, I have had problems with the engine overheating.
Moreover, b/c the engines were built with very narrow margins b/ween parts, a little overheating can do serious damage, as it did in mine.
Nonetheless, If I had 15 grand to blow on a car, I' rather buy a legend and then replace the engine and/or tranny than a new cavalier or something...

Great Cavalier
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: The car rides very smooth. Cons: Every year I have to get a break job, but I only use the car for picking up children and going to work, which is only 5 to 10 minutes away.
Overall: I really like driving this car because it handles very well...

Most dependable car I've ever had
Source: Cars.com

..."I love this car. It has been good to me while living in Florida, and great in Philly.
I drove from Florida to Philly without any problems at all.
The only thing that bothers me is the dash completely crumbled, and it will cost a lot to replace.
The plastic pieces for the vents and seatbelts have broken off at different times.
And the glovebox broke. But, honestly a very dependable car all around. Does anyone know if there is a recall for the dashboard?"...

My Cavalier Sport Coupe
Source: Cars.com

..."My 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier (a sport coupe) has been a very reliable car for me for the past 1 1/2 years.
I bought it used, and so I was worried about it breaking down shortly after buying it.
However, I have never had a problem with the car I now call "red". It has been well worth it and has been a great value for the money I spent!"...

Worst Car Ever To Touch Asphalt
Source: Cars.com

..."This is for the 1.8t. Basically nothing but problems from day 1.
The transmission never knows what gear to be in and miss shifts like there's no tomorrow.
The ride is absolutely awful and rough. The back seat is only comfortable if you have no legs.
The suspension is so soft that you can't take a corner at over 5 mph without feeling like the back end is gonna slide out.
The headlights can never be aimed correctly. Ive never heard of having to replace the wiper motor on any American car, or it costing 500 dollars.
If u want any athleticism at all dont let the "t" fool...

...Pros: Great car for the money! Cons: Isn't the fastest car by any means! Overall: Great car overall!...

Nice Cavalier
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: It rides nice, gets good mileage and has quite a bit of power with the optional 2.4 liter engine.
It also has ths smoothest automatic transmission I've ever experienced.
Cons: The quality could be better. The plastic piece in between the dash and windshield cracked in several places after it was out of warranty.
The dealer said it would cost about $600 to fix it so I'm going to live with it.
Overall: A good commuter car that has a good ride and gets good mileage. I've not had to put any money into it besides routine maintenance after 106K miles...
