Nice little car
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: Nice sporty car run good, good gas milaege and roomy for a small car.
Cons: it is so hard to find a comfortable way to sit and drive it. If i drive to long i hurt my back also the colloms make big blind spots in the front of the car. Overall: good sporty car...

Gas Saving, Decent Car
Source: CarGurus

...I never liked small cars so if you like them small, and you like Chevy's then I recommend getting this car.
The biggest thing I don't like about it is the fact that its ugly, looks like a Bettle wannabe.
Gas isn't much of a issue with this car, gets pretty good gas mileage for a small car.
Power is somewhat on the low end, but its more then enough for a smaller car.
Seating is small, for a guy like myself being 6 foot, you'll be cramp.
Handling is actually really good. Price is a little steep for such a small car, a Cobalt runs 12,000 to 25,000 brand new while the...

Nice Car

..."Recently purcased a 2009 Aveo LT 5 door. Really like the little car and it is a fun to drive car.
I'm 5'11 and weigh 210 pounds and find the car surprisingly comfortable.
The only complaints i have is it is the base model no cruise control or power locks and windows. I like the car so well that i'm planning on my next car being the new sonic."...

Get What You Pay For
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: It is very easy to handle and to see out of. On-star is great.
I think Consumer Reports is a bit harsh on this compact auto.
The price is kept down by GM so people can afford it and Consumer Reports reviews it like it is a $50,000 compact.
If you want leather - go Mercedes. If you want value and a good ride - go Aveo.
This is a great car for anyone........ Cons: Needs a console in the middle of the front seats. Overall: Overall it is a 9.99...

Dont take any chances with this car
Source: Cars.com

..."The vehicle does not get the gas mileage as promised by the manufacturer.
34hwy and 27 city are listed on the specs but I never once got the AVERAGE above 24 even after driving it 200 miles on the highway. Normally it just teetered at 20 or 21...

I own this car
Source: Cars.com

..."I love my Aveo. I have had it for four years and have only had one problem about 6 months ago.
A belt came loose and it cost about $80 to repair.
Gas Milage is great. Sound system is also great. The only thing I wish mine had was cruise control.
This is a good car for a young person or a family of four.
The one thing the Aveo is not good for is hauling stuff.
The trunk is big but not big enough to get a decent amount of stuff moved in one trip. Absolutely worth the money and I don't plan on trading my Aveo in for a while."...

Aveo: Price vs. Quality
Source: MSN Autos

...The excelleration is extremely slow (which is annoying when trying to make a quick left turn at traffic lights) and any slope whatsoever seriously impedes the car. The lack of power with hills can feel crippling when you have your foot slammed down on the gas pedal, are in a low gear, and STILL are not be able to keep up with the flow of traffic. Overall: Overall, although I like the look of the Aveo, I feel it really cannot compete with better made, similarly priced foreign cars. I bought my car because my boyfriend is a Union guy and I was trying to be patriotic. (The car is made in Korea...

Why should I also consider these?

Priced at less than $13,000, including destination, the Aveo5 hatchback is one of the cheapest vehicles available in the United States.

Out of all these competitors, the Nissan Versa drives and feels most like a larger vehicle, in a positive sense, with a smooth, settled ride on the highway, as well as a roomy interior.

Our next favorite would be the Honda Fit because of its sporty driving character, cavernous interior, Magic Seat arrangement, and best-in-class safety.

Base models of the Kia Rio, Hyundai Accent, and Toyota Yaris are in the same price range.

The Rio and Accent (mechanically related to each other) don't feel as roomy.

The Yaris is smaller inside, too.

The Korean pair is much more fun to drive than the Aveo, but they're not as refined because of their stiffer ride and noisier engines.

Nearly all of these vehicles get better fuel economy than the 2009 Chevrolet Aveo.

2008 Honda Fit
The 2008 Honda Fit is one of the smallest cars on the road, but it’s fun to drive, huge inside, and a tremendous value.

2008 Hyundai Accent
The 2008 Hyundai Accent delivers econocar basics with a high-quality interior and fun handling for a great price.

2008 Kia Rio
The 2008 Kia Rio is a good choice among subcompacts and it’s stylish, but standard anti-lock brakes and better side-impact protection would help its case against the Honda Fit.

2008 Nissan Versa
The 2008 Nissan Versa isn’t particularly sporty, fashionable, or innovative, but it offers an astonishing amount of space, comfort, and features for the money.

2008 Toyota Yaris
The 2008 Toyota Yaris is one of the cheapest, and cheapest to run, of all new vehicles.
