DADDIES CADDY
Source: MSN Autos

...with REAR WHEEL DRIVE--good trunk area Cons: Instructions are hard to UNDERSTAND on how to set up some of these premium options..This is the third Cad with the northstar engine and I don't seem to get any better gas milage than I did on my other two Sedan DeVills, a 1993 and a 2001, between 19 to 23 mpg. Leg room in the back IS as bads as my 87 Seville not for tall adults but not bad for kids. Body style to much like the Chevrolet-I think a Cad should look like a Cad all over not just from the nose and trunk. Needs a little differant side styleing to make it more distensive. front seats could...

Fast and Fun v8
Source: Cars.com

..."Bought used. Mine is pretty loaded up. Has a rare windows-up option when you hold the remote lock down.
But will not close the sunroof. The V8 sounds great on acceleration, powerful. I test drove a 6.4 GTO and the STS was faster, I timed 0 to 100 and the Caddy beat the GTO !...

...Pros: The Driveability ie fun to drive, Vehicle feels light on the road.
The quick steering is great, after one gets used to it.
Cons: The Navigation system, after a year I still cannot make it work correctly.
The Instruction booklits are poorly written. Overall: The fact that I wanted a CTS V still stands but I took this one due to a much better price...

Comfortable, capable car.

...Pros: Very comfortable and quiet. Powerful and love all the electronic toys.
The heads-up display is very nice, and integrates the navigation, temp, and radio controls. The adaptive cruise control is probably one of the most used features.... Works great (until...

Great deal compared to comparable cars
Source: Cars.com

..."Bought this vehicle about 2 months ago used with about 24,000 miles on it.
STS's are not as popular as the CTS among Cadillacs so they are cheaper to buy used even though the same vehicles will differ in price by over $10K if bought new...

Best Vehicle Ever
Source: Kelley Blue Book

...This car is beautiful. I have driven many luxury cars and none of them impressed me like this one has.
The build quality is fantastic. Better than my previous 5-Series BMW even though some claim the BMW has the edge.
The car has tons of power. I wouldn't call it supersedan potential, but they do make a V version which will let you show a few M5s, AMGs and RS6s who's king.
I am selling mine @103,000 to get an STS-V. This is the only car I've considered a repeat-buy yet...

Very Good Vehicle
Source: Kelley Blue Book

...2005 STS was purchased used with 20,000 miles and now has 44,500 miles.
Reliability has been good with some warranty repairs made. Handling is great and accelerates like a rocket. Cornering is great with Michelin tires...

...This is a great car to own. It has all the amentities of a mid size luxury car, and handles better then E 350 Benzo's...

Why should I also consider these?

With a choice of rear- or all-wheel drive and V-6 or V-8 engines, the 2009 Cadillac STS slots right alongside the mid-size luxury sedans from Germany and Japan, but it doesn’t have the presence or design detail of a BMW 5-Series or Mercedes E-Class inside.

The base V-6 STS has perkier performance than either the E350 or the BMW 528i, though the sweet turbocharged six in the new 535i may have it beat.

The E-Class more closely fits a definition of traditional luxury, with a classy appearance, while the 5-Series and M35/M45 feel sportier behind the wheel.

Yet another relatively new rival is the Jaguar XJ; with a standard V-8 engine and undeniable good looks, the XF starts at a lower price than the STS V-8.

The Infiniti M models have a surprisingly roomy interior—including a spacious backseat, which is somewhat hard to find in this class—but the ride isn't as settled, and road noise can be an issue.

And if you're especially green, you might want to consider the E320 Bluetec diesel; it doesn’t feel tremendously sporty, but it’s quick and returns standout highway fuel economy in the mid-30s.

2008 Audi A6
The 2008 Audi A6 has plenty of competition, but its graceful look and feel set it apart from more brutal German and more clinical Japanese iron.

2008 BMW 5-Series
The 5-Series sedans and wagons aren't the most practical or the best values in their class, but they're very enjoyable to drive.

2009 Jaguar XF
The 2009 Jaguar XF is an easy car to love. It performs as well as anything in the class--and has unexpected glamorous touches that will win over converts.

2008 Mercedes-Benz E Class
If you appreciate luxury and complex engineering solutions, then you'll love the 2008 Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
