ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT

..."i have own nothing but cadillacs this is the latest one to my resume.
what can i say the sts lives up to the cadillac reputation, smooth ride, powerful acceleration and it hogs the streets.
i have to mention that my 99 sts probably has a better interior as far as the material goes.
the dashboard looks like cheap plastic you find on dodge trucks.
i really don't like the power buttons for the windows.
the buttons on my 99 are nicer i don't know what they were thinking. but anyway, i love cadillacs and the stares i get when i'm going down the street make up for all of...

The Ultimate Sports/Luxury car
Source: MSN Autos

...It has a lot of power and is great for city and highway driving. I got a great deal on the car I wanted. This is my 3rd Cadillac, and by far my favorite. Cons: There is nothing I really don't like about this vehicle. The trunk and glove box are smaller than on the larger model, the DeVille. Overall: I would would highly recommend this car if you are going to buy in the sport/luxury category. This car comes with all the accesories needed for the ultimate driving experience. You can't go wrong with a Cadillac...

American Flagship

...Pros: The ride, handling and performance of the STS are superb.
This car is well balanced, powerful and quiet. It suffers none of the drawbacks of the imports (such as iDrive and poor reliability).
Unlike almost every foreign car in its class, the STS does not require premium fuel, which obviously saves money with every fill up.
The STS also gets about 20 mpg overall, which is excellent for an AWD car of this size and weight.
Cons: Nothing. Overall: The best car that I have ever owned. It is as good if not better than every car in its class, including ALL the imports. This...

Dream Car

..."Bought the Cad STS V8 as a rental buyback with 10K miles.
It has operated flawlessly ever since... 18 months now.
All the power I could want, and the response when needed is awesome!
Could never have afforded it if it wasn't bought during the $4.00 per gallon era. Milage has been great, about 26/27 mpg highway...and that's going the speed limit. I couldn't be more happier."...

A keeper
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: Great car. Love the V6 engine, gives me the same performance as an import 3.5, but doesn't need the premium gas.
Lots of interior room. The cool seats are a plus. Before this car I drove a BMW and an Infiniti.
The STS compares well against these two more expensive competitors.
Cons: Interior has cheap parts. My glove compartment latch broke after 7k miles. It took Cadillac 3 weeks to replace. Overall: I like the car and will keep it...

STS FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!
Source: MSN Autos

...Controls easy to figure out and XM Radio and Stereo system is top drawer. Cons: Nothing so far. Wish I would have bought this before. Overall: This is not your father's (or grandfathters) Cadillac. This is the finest car I have ever owned. and I have owned 12 since 1975!!! I get great compliments from my co workers who have BMW's Lexus and other high end vehicles. Forget the foreign stuff, Caddy has a winner at a better price and I bought this when it was a year old and got a great value, versus a new car or a used foreign car. My first experiece with Cadillac has been excellent!!!!...

STS review

...Pros: Looks hot, drives great, very good ride comfort.
Cons: back seat room, feels more like the CTS from the back seat.
Overall: Great,Love my caddy! I hope Cadillac gives the DTS a make over by the time I'm ready to get a new car, Love the size of the DTS, just not the look.
Still looks like a car my Dad would drive...

The fastest sedan I've ever driven
Source: Cars.com

..."I recently traded my 02 BMW 745 (which was my favorite sedan owned to date - until now) for the new 08 Cadillac STS-V.
I must say after putting nearly 1000 miles on this "rocket" in less than a month, the new Cadillac STS-V is not only fast, but fun to drive and is one of the sexiest automobiles on the road today.
Cadillac has created a car that will make me think twice before I buy another european sedan.
Let me also note that my wife's daily driver is an 07 Cadillac Escalade ESV (this is our 4th Escalade),
so kudos to Cadillac for getting serious about being the number...

Comfortable and Stylish
Source: Cars.com

..."I have had my 2008 STS for about 3 months now, but it still feels like a new toy to me.
Its rare that you will find a luxury car with a sporty look and great performance, but thats just what this car has.
The air conditioned seats are wonderful and have done wonders for the hot summer this year.
They arent very powerful so if you are wearing thick jeans you may not feel them, but in shorts and a t-shirt they feel great.
As the winter approaches the rear heated seats have been appreciated by my passengers.
The car drives great and has enough power to not feel like you...

Why should I also consider these?

With V-6 and V-8 engines and a choice of rear- or all-wheel drive, the 2008 Cadillac STS is quite competitive versus the mid-size luxury sedans from Germany and Japan, but it arguably doesn't look or feel as up-to-date as the 5-Series or E-Class inside.

In terms of performance, the base STS has perkier performance than either the E350 or the BMW 528i, though the sweet engine in the new 535i may have it beat.

The E-Class more closely fits a definition of traditional luxury, with a classy appearance, while the 5-Series and M35/M45 feel sportier from behind the wheel.

The Infiniti M models have a surprisingly roomy interior--including a spacious backseat, which is somewhat hard to find in this class--but the ride isn't as settled and road noise can be an issue.

And if you're especially green, you might want to consider the E320 Bluetec diesel, which returns standout highway fuel economy in the mid-30s.

2008 Audi A6
The 2008 Audi A6 has plenty of competition, but its graceful look and feel set it apart from more brutal German and more clinical Japanese iron.

2008 BMW 5-Series
The 5-Series sedans and wagons aren't the most practical or the best values in their class, but they're very enjoyable to drive.
