The Equalazer SUVSource: MSN Autos...It has lot of power, quick to accelerate and agile when passing individuals on the highway that will not move over and then try to block you out. My wife feels that it is the safest SUV we have ownned. Cons: The large wheels and tires stick outside the body of the vehicle throwing a lot of mud and slush on the body of the vehicle. Moulded mud guards are a must for the Escalade. One must be extra careful to watch out for small cars when moving to the inside lane as the small cars are below the visual line of the side windows when next to you and given the tendency of the small car drivers to... |

Luxury but not a good buySource: MSN Autos...other than regular scheduled maintenance. Items such has, fuel sensor malfunction, 2 separate A/C problems, wiring issues, fuel injector malfunction, fuel pump issues, had a replace the radiator twice, heat seat(s) malfunction, and at the moment, it’s currently back in the shop with approximately $2,400 of repairs (i.e. oil leak and refrigerant leak) I bought it from a local CarMax dealership and these problems have been covered under the extended warranty. Other than mechanical problems; the interior design was poorly constructed; extremely outdated Overall: It’s luxury at a cheap price;... |

Esclade thats the SUV for meSource: MSN Autos...The DVD player is a must if you have kids. Cons: There have several reasons for me to take the SUV in for warranty work, the stabilitraction system need new computer software. Cargo door clips keep vibrating off, some rattles coming from rear compartments, rear doors had what sounded like air leaks (doors where adjusted), stering column has a whining sound. The fit and finish need to be worked on. Gas mileage is not good, especially when you need 91 grade. Overall: I would buy another Escalade with some improvements such as 3rd row push of the button and close the lift gate at the push of the... |

A Great SUVSource: MSN Autos...It's got excellent power, comfortables seats and wonderful interior. It's been trouble free (totally!) and I get 14.5 mpg, which is acceptable for a large SUV. Perhaps the Lexus had a little more responsive stearing on curves, but the lack of comfort was not worth switching to the Lexus. Also, the Lexus seemed to me to be a little "cheap" inside. Cons: The navigation system is clumsy to use. It's not user-friendly. Also, I wish it had video for backing up. Overall: There are so many great things about this car, that I'd rate it at 10. My complaints are rather minor compared to the overall... |

The nicest thing next to sliced bread.Source: MSN Autos...I give the vehicle itself a 10! Cons: The only thing that really bothered me was that the badges on the vehicle, I think, are just a little bit too big. Also, when theres a lot of traffic, the Escalade might be a too large to fit into a spot to move faster home in. Overall: The overall review is that the car is perfect for anyone that can afford it. It really is a piece of work. I live in North Dakota where there is a lot of snow in winter, and the handling was great, even on icy roads. I also have 4 rottweilers, and sometimes I bring them to work with me, but the Escalade has enough room to... |

The Lincoln Navigator is the Escalade's main rival, but its styling can feel a little old-fashioned next to that of the Cadillac; it forgoes a flashy appearance for more conservative details.
Additionally, the V-8 engine that powers the Navigator provides adequate performance but comes up short compared to the Escalade.
The Chrysler Aspen also offers a wide range of luxury features, but it's a half-size smaller than the Escalade, yet isn't any less cumbersome—or much more fuel-efficient—to drive.
The Mercedes-Benz GL-Class is a little more manageable, but it's not quite as roomy inside either.
Both the QX56 and the LX 570 have some measure of off-road ability, but their on-road handling suffers.
On top of this, none of these vehicles arguably have the reputation, recognition, and straight-out curb appeal that the Escalade still enjoys in some circles.
