Can Consumer Reports Really Review ??
Source: Edmunds

...This has been a great car. Consumer reports would have had me buy a Ford Taurus.
I recently rented a 2002 Taurus that I would not trade for my Buick with 105000 mile on it.
After upgrading the tires to 75X195, the car handles very well.
The transmission is smooth, comfortable ride,Much better than my a 95 Caprice Classic.
I bought with 7000 miles on it in 95. It has seen over 25 trips from upstate ny to Cape Cod, and 7 years of small children in the back seat.
The interior looks new, and its still a very comforable car. If you are looking at a ford taurus, check out...

Waste of money
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: nothing what so ever,It's only a scrap plastic material and metal containing hazardous material Cons: my 2002 accord is nothing but trouble.very poor gas mileage.
the car is sluggish and poor passing power.even a ordinary 4 banger can out run this car.i think the ford taurus, chevy malibu,
buick century are much more reliable than this piece of junk.the body is too soft and easily dented.
Overall: rather have a slightly noisier car.so pedestrian and driver are more alerted.the price are just too high and outrageous.every cars should not cost more than $10,000.00...

Bought Car at 8,000 miles
Source: Edmunds

...We have had a 1990 Buick Century and looked for this 1995 five years ago.
It has disappointed us in noise. The engine is noisy, much more than our 1990 model.
Wind noise is really bad on the highway. Radiator had to be replaced at 100,000 miles.
It is difficult to park due to not being able to see the front fenders well enough.
The turning radius is very poor. This will be our last Buick after the disappointing things we have had. Local Buick dealer has not been honest and this is one factor I won'tolerate...

1998 Century
Source: Edmunds

...This is a great vehicle that offers reliability, comfort and good build.
I just bring the car in for regular maintenance and I find the repairs to be far less expensive than my previous foreign car... Infinity M-30. Great stereo, ABS braking system and nice interior...

Greatest Vehicle of the Century
Source: Edmunds

...These are the beast vehicles for your money. You might call it the poor man's Lexus. I have owned 3 Acura's now and the '93 is my favorite. I have owned a 91 Legend and own a '97 3.5RL...

Nice Reliable Car
Source: Edmunds

...We bought this car 3 years old with 30K miles on it.
Great power and handling. Mileage 18-20 with V6. Just put a new tranny in it at 140K miles.
This was the only time I have had to call a tow truck with this car.
Only other problem has been with sensors. Would have had dealer fix this when I first noticed hesitation if I had any idea...
As it is I did not. Ended up replacing numerous sensors (replaced O2 sensor several times) and having various repairs due to sensor gone bad.
We're now up to 2 kids. The back seat doesn't allow much room for an infant car seat, so...

Overdrive and Cup Holders
Source: Edmunds

...I really like the car in general. Most everything works and feels right.
My only knock against them(or at least the one I have) is the fact that there is absolutely no engine braking whatesoever,
and if I drive it on Drive instead of Overdrive, it give a jerking motion everytime I give it gas or release the gas pedal.
Overdrive really bad on winter roads And the fact that it does not come with cup holders or any options as to where one could be installed.
May sound petty but is very much a nescessity Gas mileage is great, comfort is great, controls are great, mechanicly...
