A REAL 10!
Source: Edmunds

...I've been driving an Audi TT 225 Quattro Coupe for almost three years now.
I have had nothing but pleasure from it! Not a single problem other than those I caused myself by driving too fast!
It corners like it is on rails! Everyone loves it. I get 28 mpg, driving like a fool most of the time...

..."My first TT was a 2000. The 03 much better car. Overall, expensive to maintain, but overall reliability not bad for a German auto."...

Fun Car - Very Poor Reliability
Source: Edmunds

...I bought my car with 30,000 miles. At 40,000 miles (5 yrs old) all the problems started.
Alternator went bad, serpentine belt replaced four times, tensioner replaced, air sensor, fuel gage gives incorrect reading.
I always have preventative work done to prevent timing belt issues (common).
The car is very fun to drive and well engineered. My newer Infiniti doesn't have all the special features that Audi crammed into this little car.
The top goes up and down in about six seconds so I'm never caught in the rain.
Having been a Honda/Toyota owner I am disappointed in the...

Look at everyone stare as you go by
Source: Edmunds

...Car is one of a kind without a doubt, great engine (had water pump replaced with metal impellar version for reliability, ecu raflashed, new dv, and p-flo intake.
It is now where it needs to be for being a sports car with more turbo kick and less restriction on the engine.
Great to drive anywhere anytime, handles unbelievably well on all roads.
Only minor problems have occurred but nothing that cant be fixed by joining a forum online and a little bit of mechanical common sense.
I highly recommend purchasing used, with the 225 engine with a 6 speed, its all fun when you want...

Well Worth Buying, Especially These Days.
Source: CarGurus

...Performance - quickest 1.8 on the road, handling was great breaking great.
Build Q - was ok , needed a few pricy repairs around the 4 - 5 year / 60- 70k miles mark, electrics not quite up to scratch.
Appearance - excellent, design, award winner. Cost of ownership - relatively low due to low tax (1.8) and insurance 123.ie and quite economical if you know how to drive. Fun - 10 outa 10 to drive...

Lemon Law the TT
Source: Edmunds

...I am lemon lawing this vehicle! Nothing works correctly, my TT has been out of service for 23 days and I have only had it for 10 months.
It was a brand new car when I bought it. If you buy this car, be prepared for lots of time at the shop and plan on driving a loaner...

Why should I also consider these?

The 2010 Audi TT's versatility in body styles is matched by a few sports coupes, though none can top its variety of drivetrains.

The new Nissan 370Z cuts length to gain in style, handling, and ride quality, but it's still rough and noisy compared to the TT.

The Mercedes-Benz SLK has a folding hardtop, a technically interesting style, and a hot AMG performance edition, but the Audi TTS has a lighter, nimbler feel.

It's probably out of the question for badge snobs, but if a base Porsche Boxster is still too expensive, a fully optioned TTS still checks in below $50,000.

2009 Mercedes-Benz SLK Class
The 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class combines the romance of a small roadster with grand-touring comfort, as well as the poise and performance of a larger sportscar.

2009 Nissan 370Z
The Nissan Z has never occupied the top spot in the performance world—and it doesn't now—but it's still a great performance car that starts just under $30,000.

2008 Porsche Boxster
The 2008 Porsche Boxster performs brilliantly, and looks and feels the part, delivering a modern take on the classic roadster experience.
