Thirsty little SUVSource: MSN Autos...Interior is gorgeous, stock 20 inch mags (S-Line) give this car a mean look. Piece of mind that my family is safe when we are on the road. Cons: Dash options a little labour intensive, push this to get to that, push that to get back etc... Could be simpler. GAS PIG. Always over $4 a gallon in Canada, and this thing is always thirsty. Backglass imploded one day from closing the driver side door. Overall: Love it, not too flashy, definitely not dull, but was naive in thinking that the smaller size with a 3.2 would be reasonably good on gas... |

Loving LuxurySource: MSN Autos
...Pros: I have only great things to say about this SUV. |

The Best of its ClassSource: MSN Autos...It was not too loose like a bus and I didn't have to strap myself into it like a race car. The accessories and features that one would expect in a vehicle of this class and price were all there and accessible and easily visibly comprehendable. The acceleration, braking, cornering and response were all exceptional for a vehicle of its class. The ESP worked seamlessly with non-intrusive and little feeling of its intervention. Cons: I truly could not find anything I didn't like about the Q5 and nothing relating to my experience as a driver other than I wish there was a DVD Entertainment Center... |

Wait for the diesel versionSource: MSN Autos

Three distinct groups of competitors emerge for the 2009 Audi Q5.
The first group comprises its fellow travelers from Germany and Great Britain; the Mercedes-Benz GLK wears angular clothes and bakes in off-roading, four-wheel drive, and a big V-6, with diesel power on the way.
The BMW X3 is the senior officer in the class and is substantially improved in ride and handling in 2008.
Land Rover’s LR2 is a square-jawed niche player in the group, with true four-wheeling bred in its blocky silhouette.
The next pair, the Acura RDX and Infiniti EX35, share Japanese heritage, but feel radically different.
The RDX’s pulsing turbocharged four-cylinder seems at odds with its mission, while the EX35’s teensy cargo area leads to questions about its SUV classification.
Lastly, the soft and comfy SUVs in this group include the Lexus RX, a luxury favorite with little driving feel and a hybrid model; the new Volvo XC60, a sleek and fairly quick-footed SUV with a marvelous interior; and the Cadillac SRX, a new entry in this size class with crisp styling and good on-road maneuvers.
