Very dependable car!
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: Seems to be a heavy, solid car. We live in Minnesota, and it has handled very well in any weather.
Bucket seats are very comforable. Cons: For a 5 passenger car, ours only has 1 cupholder.
Rear doors have a tendancy to rust on the bottom. Overall: We have owned this car for over 11 years and it has 123,000 miles on it.
Until the head and intake manifold gaskets went out last winter, we have not had any problems with the car. I hope our next car is as dependable as this one has been...

Japan can't touch this!
Source: MSN Autos

...Overall: I factory ordered it in 1989. Delivered to me on 11/04/89 with 9 miles on it. I now have 244,000 miles on it. Multiple friends of mine have been through multiple cars from Japan and had major mechanical failures. Me, same car going on 13 years without any major mechanical failures. I drove it like a race car, red line each gear, top speed (limited to 123mph) driving, for many years. Older now, no longer drive like a mad man. Car still has the stuff to do it, prove it to myself from time to time by going 123mph in 4th gear (it's a 5 speed manual) at 6000rpm. Just starting to get a few...

very unhappy with quality and service
Source: Edmunds

...Drove porsches for 9 years, just got my Audi this summer.
Radio works when it wants to but of course service says nothing wrong since it was working when I brought it in.
Worse, the leather in pass seat split. Service claims puncture with knife. Umm, no. Don't think I ever stabbed my seat. Very dissatisfied...

45 days into the car A5 Coup
Source: Edmunds

...I must say up front I loved my 2007 A4 and thought with the kids out of the house it was time to drive a coup. I never had a single issue with my A4 Cabrio ( that I still own ) or my A4 sedan. The A5 has a bit of a different story. Right off the bat 3 defective tires. I kid you not and it took 4 days for Audi to approve their replacement. Besides this little hi-cup the car is a beauty. Feels great , great MPG and enough pep to run with the rest. Sporty steering wheel but if they tell you you can fit someone in the back seat forget it. I'll love the car for the 3 years until the lease is up...

coolest car I've had
Source: Cars.com

..."The roof leaks when it rains and it is recognized as a problem by Audi of America.
They sent the problem via e-mail to the dealers who showed me what they are to do. I have been waiting for a part for 3 weeks now. I am sure the part came in but still have not contacted me."...

Lovely Car, But
Source: CarGurus

...Way too many options and color choices offered in Europe and not the US making me feel like I got gyped.. As if Im not worthily of a different wood option or saddle leather seats with the sport pack .. Buyer's remorse.. yes .. Im not sure who this car is meant for .. I really wanted a TT but you can't buy the 6spd manual in the US so I settled for this .. and now Im stuck .. Its pretty, but looks too much like an A4 and feels like one too .. Shame on Audi .. and Shame on me .. its a poser ... at least it came in 6 spd .. I know you're thinking cry me a river...

2 year review
Source: Edmunds

...have owned for 2 years now - no unscheduled trips to dealer.
Great reliability, very comfortable, the 4 doors and hatchback are very useful. Only wishes - about 40 more horsepower, a better stereo, and a 5 speed auto...

1994 Summit wagon, 5 speed std., 2.4L, AWD
Source: MSN Autos

...Pros: Low maintenance, comfortable, good in snow, cheap on fuel Cons: The only thing wrong with the one I drive is that the power mirrors are starting to fail, but that's after 11 years!
Overall: This is a good little wagon. Easy to maintain and cheap to run. The one I have is a 5 speed standard. Stay away from the automatics because when they fail they're not cheap to fix...

On the Eighth Day God made M5
Source: MSN Autos

...add to that the wicked V8 and you are basically running things. Cons: Drinks gas like crazy! Overall: To the Unhappy off M5 driver: Learn how to drive.... I live in NY and no city is rougher on a car. Ugly? What planet are you from. Saying the M5 is ugly is like saying the events of 9/11 weren't horrific. (A bit dramatic, but, I'm making a point) The M5 is the "Ultimate Driving Machine) not as nimble as say a Z06 or 911... but pack up a family of 5 with luggage and then tell me who's kickin' bootie at 140+.... It's a shame when people don't realize Greatness while it's in there presence...

Pretty But With Issues
Source: Edmunds

...People will go out of their way to tell you how much they like the looks, but the car has issues and I sold mine after 10 months for a pretty steep write down.
Issues: The 2.0 lags off the line The doors are incredibly
heavy and passenger door lacks a gripable handle Mileage
with 4 cylinders is only 25 MPG AC and heat loud and not effective Console box is too small Stock tires have no traction on wet road Car very hard to dry after washing,
water drips from the mirror and back license frame Very low position, hard to see front - I popped 3 tires in 10 months Cabin noise...

Why should I also consider these?

Four-seat convertibles can be split into two groups: soft-tops and folding hardtops.

The Audi A5 Cabriolet’s German kin include the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet, which also chooses a soft top over a folding hardtop to keep complexity down.

The remaining vehicles are offered as hardtop convertibles, and the BMW 3-Series Convertible has one of the more pleasing shapes, to go with its tenacious handling.

Both Japanese convertibles are relatively new to the field; the Infiniti’s top-down looks seem superior, while the Lexus’ interior room may offer a bit more space.
