Spy shots: 2008 Jeep Liberty

Posted on Tuesday 17 October 2006

2008_jeep_liberty.jpgThe ace spy photographers over at KGP have taken photos of the next generation Jeep Liberty, expected to hit dealerships next year. The new Liberty looks tougher by adopting a similar look to Hummer vehicles. It looks like only the 3.7L V6 will be available on this model, and unfortunately plans for a 6-sp transmission have been dropped, leaving only a 4-sp auto. There may also be a diesel variant.

Inside there will more mire changes including the latest stereo and satellite navigation systems and more interior space. Cargo area will also be expanded and will incorporate the Loan ‘n Go slide-out rear as seen in the Nitro. Electronic stability, hill descent and roll mitigation will also be installed.

Check out the pics over at Allpar.

If the design isn’t working for the Commander what makes them think it will work for the Libery?
