The car is now going through the formal approval process to meet Australian Design Rules, and is expected to be delivered to its lucky owner within the next few weeks. "Handing this car over is going to be a proud moment, both in terms of the quality of our work and also just for the fact that the Ford GT is such a phenomenal car," Mustang Motorsport’s Craig Dean said recently.
The car sells in Australia for half a million dollars, roughly $452,000USD at current conversion rates, but so far only six cars are scheduled to be modified and all have already been pre-sold. If you live in Australian and still want an American Ford muscle car, the company also offers a Mustang GT conversion.

I'm surprised these cars sold so well. I am less surprised that there wasn't much of a halo-effect, trickle down of prestige to Ford's more mundane offerings.

It's astonishing how much work must go into converting cars this way.
