Spyker will be delaying production of its upcoming C12 Zagato sports car because capacity has been prioritized for the Dutch firm’s other models. The C12 Zagato was styled with the help of Italian design firm Zagato and was eventually set to go on sale at a price of €495,000 early next year. The car was first displayed in concept form back at March’s Geneva Motor Show and was scheduled to go into production later this year with a limited run of just 24 units.

Spyker’s chairman of the board Hessel Lindenbergh has said that production is being delayed and that customers who’ve pre-ordered it will be informed in the mail very shortly, according to AutoTelegraf.

The introduction of the concept was meant to coincide with the launch of Spyker’s F1 team but recent financial trouble and a lack of manufacturing capacity with its other models have meant that management had no choice but to delay production.
