We’ve already seen a Spyker F1 car and the Bugatti Veyron take on a jet-fighter and now we have a story about Lamborghini’s new Reventon challenging a Panavia Tornado jet-fighter in a drag race. The two machines faced each other on a 3km stretch of runway at the Ghedi airforce base in Italy earlier in the month.
In the first few seconds of the race, the Reventon had the lead, its 3.4 second time for the 0-100km/h giving it a clear advantage, but then the Tornado took over at the closing stages as the jet’s wheels left the ground and it passed the Reventon’s 340km/h top speed.
