We’re used to seeing plenty of modified Mercs from the German tuners, but rarely do we see a Japanese customizer give the Teutonic saloons and coupes the aftermarket treatment. Vorbild, more specifically its Elite Sports subsidiary, is one such tuner that specializes in the modification of some of Europe’s finest and for its latest creation the guys have turned their attention to the CLS range.

The new Elite Sports kit is packed with the latest in aftermarket parts from Vorbild and includes a full bodykit and carbon-fiber accessory range. For about $7,500 Elite Sports will install new bumpers front and rear, a pair of side skirts, pumped fenders with dual air vents and a massive GT wing.

If money’s no object, developers can also modify the V8 engine and exhaust system. Some of the modifications include a new supercharger and intercooler kit, high-flow induction system, performance camshafts, and a full stainless steel exhaust system.

To complete the package Elite Sports has a set of custom Vorbild UL5 forged alloy wheels and an Endless/Ewig brake package designed specifically for the CLS.

Knight Rider (the new one) should use this as some evil equivalent to KITT. Wait, that show is supposed to be an Action Adventure/Crime Fighting show. This thing will bring way too much comic relief to any episode that it is involved with.

Why dear Lord Why?! Granted I have never been a huge fan of the lines of the CLS from the start but this only takes a mediocre design and makes it look cheap and utterly unbearable!

I truly do not understand the fascination the tuning audience has with cheap tacked on ground effects and huge utterly ineffective spoliers (It’s a freaking FRONT wheel drive Honda Civic! What good does a 2 foot high spoiler do?!?!”).

I am sure this car is undoubtedly a monster in terms of performance but its entire look just screams “I live at home with my folks and all my money from my job at goes towards pimping out my car”.

If a tuner delivered my car looking like this, I’d demand my money back.
