Design sketches from John Z. De Lorean, the creator of the DMC-12 sports car made famous by the Back to the Future, are up for auction on eBay. De Lorean’s folder contains corporate records of the De Lorean Motor Company and design material for a sedan that never made it to production. The website Autovisie managed to dig up this incredible find, which includes a few magazine clippings pertaining to the possible DMC sedan as well as a Telex from Italian designer Giorgetto Giugiaro. Much of the materials also bear De Lorean’s signature plus the company stamp.

John De Lorean was famously arrested in 1982 for drug trafficking offences, which preceded the demise of his automobile manufacturing company and left him in a dire financial position. In fact, even up until his death last year at the age of 80, De Lorean was still working on a business venture project to develop high-end wristwatches. De Lorean’s death caused the dissolution of the company and the ensuing sale of all his assets.
