A car dealer in Kent, a county in southeast England, told the Mirror newspaper that he was struck as a pedestrian on Sunday by a modest Fiat Ducato van - which had the former Ferrari racer at the wheel.
The dealer said Schumacher, who was on his way to a private jet at a nearby airfield, was overtaking a slower vehicle at the time.
"(Schumacher) was screaming, 'What the fuc*ing hell were you doing on the road?' He seemed cross, as if I was in the wrong. I called the police."
The police breath-tested and questioned Schumacher, but at first did not believe the 39-year-old German was actually the legendary winner of 91 grands prix.
The dealer, who said his worst injury was a bruised leg, explained: "An officer came in and said 'This guy's claiming to be Michael Schumacher'. Then another told us she'd seen his id and it was him.
"He still didn't apologise. He just got back in the van and drove off without even looking at me. He was arrogant."
Schumacher's spokeswoman Sabine Kehm said: "There was a collision but nobody was injured. Michael cooperated with police. There is nothing else we wish to say."
Kent Police said no further action will be taken.

What exactly WAS the pedestrian doing on the road? Was this at a crosswalk or a street corner with traffic control lights.
Too many details left out makes Schumacher look like he should walk instead of drive.
I wonder if anyone in his family still does make shoes ....

Suprise!
pedestrian can catch any driver out, even if your below the speed limit and with not alcohol involve. It just takes a lack of concentration or some pedestrian who is blind and just decide to cross the road. Who can concentrate at the speed of below 60kmh(boring), especially race drivers who is used to 200k or so. I would run in front of Schumacher as well, just to get some cash(insurance or health care), I know he would hit the breaks in time to just scrape my legs with no danger.
LOL

"He (Schumi) was overtaking someone and hit a railing being put out in the road by the man. The railing collided with Michael's wing mirror."
-Canadian Press
Man apperantly jumped on hood of nearby car when saw the approaching van, but was not fast enough and Schumacher hit his leg.

well the road in question might of been one that didnt have pathways which a lot of small roads dont have and the pedestrian that was hit may of being walking ( yes i know that sounds odd someone actually walking)
plus we dont know if it was on a straight or corner.
and if i recall correctly here in UK if a road has no footpaths then any pedestrian walking along it MUST walk towards oncoming traffic and they ( pedestrians ) have right of way.over cars.
