Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn, who met with reporters from French newspaper Le Parisien, mentioned that synergies with US partners other than GM were possible. Ghosn has also stated that the French-Japanese duo would expand the alliance when it’s growing again. Nissan has been experiencing negative growth recently, and the priority now is to wait until this turns around.
Renault will be launching up to 26 models between now and 2009, including cars like the new Twingo and Koleos SUV. Ghosn also revealed that he hopes to establish several new marques as well as revive the Renault Alpine label, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

If these would happen,I think that toyota will be facing a big rival in automotive industry. Some designs and concept on the nissan will likely change like the nissan lights , if it is also designed by non japanese designers.
