Yesterday we showed you a video of Nissan’s GT-R driving on snow. Today we have a clip of the GT-R’s closest rival, the Porsche 911, carving up the ice around Germany’s Nordschleife. The car in this video is just a basic Carrera so it doesn’t enjoy the benefits of AWD traction like the Nissan, but as you’ll see the driver manages to keep it under control most of the time.

That’s Walter Rohl- the ringmaster
Check that- the first driver is Walter- don’t know who the second driver on the ice is.
Second driver is Tim Schrick, presenter on D-Motor, a German car show.
Amazing car control.
I wonder how much is the car and tires, and how much is the driver?
Still too scary for me, I’ve been on snow when all of a sudden you are COMPLETELY at the mercy of physics, and that was in a snow tired X5 at only 15 mph…
anyone know the name of the song playing in the background in last couple of minutes?
Looks like some much fun. I would love giving it a go.
I would love giving it a go, as long as it was with someone else’s car…
