Toyota has presented its new Auris concept, which will form the basis for a production model to replace the popular Corolla small car. Toyota officials are being tight lipped on whether this car is actually the new Corolla although it has been previously reported that for Europe, Toyota will adopt a new name for the Corolla.
This new concept is slightly larger than the current Corolla and is expected to be built at Toyota’s plant in Turkey. New design features include the high-waistline and short overhangs, which give the car a more upmarket look. A flat-floor design and high roof gives the car class leading interior space. The 19in alloys, huge brake callipers and chrome exhausts will probably be dropped for the production version.
