Germany’s Auto Motor und Sport has published the official images and details ahead of the concepts unveiled, which was scheduled for next month’s Detroit Auto Show. We now know that the vehicle measures 4.35m in length and 1.55m in height, which makes it slightly smaller than the Freelander/LR2 compact SUV on which it is based.
The concept also gets 20in wheels, a panoramic glass roof, and ground clearance of just 13cm. Inside, the concept gets two-tone leather trim and is highlighted with aluminum elements. There’s seating for four as well as an extended center console and a fridge.
According to the source, production versions will arrive in 2009, if given the green light, and could come with a hybrid option. Click here to see an artist’s impression of the final production version due in 2009.
