An image of the first of three new Kia concepts planned for next week’s Geneva Motor Show has been leaked, revealing a sporty compact hatch with boxy profile and garish paintwork. All three cars will carry the ‘SOUL’ title and are closely related to an upcoming production model Kia claims will start a whole new segment and entice customers that normally would overlook the brand.

The concepts cars are designed to showcase a number of possibilities for customizing and personalization that future Kia customers will be able to apply to the production models. Pictured in this teaser is the SOUL Burner, which features a new satin black finish with a gloss design painted directly onto the car. You can see more of the SOUL Burner in our earlier post.

it looks cute and fun…and marketed for the younger consumer. Too bad that statistics are showing a HUGE decrease in the number of teens getting their licenses. Who exactly is going to buy that kind of vehicle?

it’s official. id rather have my left nut eaten off in a badger attack than buy a kia. could they EVER make a SINGLE product that isnt very CLEARLY a copy of some one else’s product? great idea… lets copy toyotas “cheap” brand. BRILLIANT.

…and we all thought it was going to chance with the genesis… we thought they would have some original thought.. and actually try to really compete in the market.

I buy no-name brand matches, i buy grocery store brand mac ‘n’ cheese, but i dont buy rip-off cars. I’m sorry. It’s like buying a Weird Al CD.
