On Friday, the first episode of Amazon’s new car show The Grand Tour starring former Top Gear hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May went live.

There had been concerns Amazon might have trouble recreating the magic of the old show, but now that the first episode is out we can safely say that they’ve done it. In fact, they’ve even improved it.

Without the minders at the BBC breathing down their necks, the crew are funnier, sillier and more crude than ever, which is perfect given all the politically correct hoopla we seem to be inundated with constantly by mainstream networks. For example, they’ve named their new race track the Eboladrome. Why? Because the layout just so happens to match the shape of the Ebola virus.

This short clip sums up the first episode nicely but we’d highly recommend watching it in its entirety. You won’t be disappointed. Note, it's only available in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and Japan at present. The global launch will be in December, bringing the show to over 200 countries.

As for Top Gear, it’s time to stick a fork in it. It’s done.
