Toyota has gone out and built a Land Cruiser capable of hitting 220 mph. The big SUV isn’t exactly the most aerodynamic vehicle in Toyota’s fleet, so the engineers dialed up the power from its V-8 to the tune of 2,000 horses.

Audi’s R8 is getting laser lights in the United States. They will be fitted on a special edition model debuting in November at the 2016 Los Angeles auto show.

Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, the son of Equatorial Guinea’s ruler Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, has a penchant for parking multimillion-dollar supercars in Europe. Unfortunately, the cars are usually paid for via questionable means so they’re often seized in investigations. A Koenigsegg One:1 and Lamborghini Veneno were among the latest cars seized.

You'll find all these stories and more in today's car news, right here at Motor Authority.
