Cadillac has dropped a teaser video for a new concept car it plans to unveil on Thursday as part of its Monterey Car Week schedule.

The concept is thought to preview new technology and design themes for Cadillac’s upcoming models, and not necessarily a specific model.

The General Motors Company [NYSE:GM] luxury brand did the same in Monterey in 2011 with the unveiling of the Ciel concept.

From the teaser we can see that a key element of the new concept will be its display technology. In a statement, Cadillac said the concept will feature an “array of curved OLED screens.”

Those OLED screens were developed with LG Electronics and form the main instrument cluster as well as a secondary infotainment screen. Crucially, the new design may be signaling the end of Cadillac’s much-maligned CUE infotainment system.

That’s all we know right now but we should have more details soon. The unveiling will be one of the major events of this week’s Monterey Car Week, and Cadillac will also stream it on its Facebook page on Thursday, August 18 starting at 10:45 p.m. Eastern Time.
