Do you like luxury? Do you also have a disdain for your local taxi service? Well, you're probably already in luck because there's most likely an Uber Black vehicle circling somewhere not far from your home.
Now, though, Lyft users have something upscale they can order with the press of a button thanks to the arrival of Lyft Premier.
Uber has had Select and the Black service for sometime now. It also has UberX, UberXL, and even UberPool in some markets. With Uber Select, you'll find a luxury sedan arriving at your doorstep. The Black service brings a Town Car or large SUV for your travel needs. Now Lyft is ready to compete with a stream of luxury vehicles.

If you select a pickup from a Lyft Premier driver, you'll be whisked away in either an Audi A6, BMW 5 Series, Lexus ES, or a Cadillac Escalade. Is it wrong that we'd be bummed if the Lexus arrived? The best choice to be shuttled off to your desired destination would clearly be the updated Escalade. Cadillac has finally turned that big rig into a true luxury vehicle, and it's a nice way to arrive comfortably and in style.
To celebrate (read: make you download the app and try the service), Lyft is offering a 20-percent discount for new users on their first 10 rides.
