The 2016 Beijing Auto Show is currently underway and one of the big surprises was Volkswagen’s T-Prime Concept GTE. Though we knew VW was bringing an SUV concept to the Chinese show, what we were surprised to learn is that the concept previews a new full-size SUV to be positioned above the Touareg.

Porsche used the Chinese show to unveil its 718 Cayman. Its arrival sees the Cayman now match its Boxster counterpart in the power stakes, and for the first time undercut the open-top car in pricing.

Lexus unveiled an updated version of its IS sports sedan. Among the changes are a new front end, revised dash and extra electronic driver aids.
