The supercar—and often celebrity—studded annual road trip that is the Gumball 3000 rally is on for another year.

This year, the rally kicks off in Dublin, Ireland and will snake its way through the United Kingdom and across to Europe before ending in Bucharest, Romania.

Around 100 cars will leave Dublin on April 30 and hopefully arrive safely in Bucharest on May 6.

One of the cars taking part will be a Formula One car made street legal. It belongs to online betting company Betsafe and is shown in this video cruising around the streets of Manchester in the U.K.

The car weighs just over 1,400 pounds without any fuel and is powered by a Ferrari [NYSE:RACE] V-8 that will rocket it to 60 mph from rest in approximately 2.0 seconds. It also features an F1-spec gearbox as well as a KERS system like the one introduced for the 2009 season. The wheels are from OZ Racing, the brakes from Brembo and the steering wheel borrowed from a Sauber F1 car.

We wonder if there will be any F1 drivers present to hop behind the wheel. Last year we saw reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton take part with a Koenigsegg Agera S.
