Hyundai’s new luxury brand Genesis rolled out a handsome sedan concept yesterday at the 2016 New York Auto Show. The concept previews technology and design themes for future Genesis models, specifically a BMW 3-Series-rivaling model to be called the G70.

Audi’s second-generation R8 Spyder made a surprise showing in New York. The open-top supercar once again features a cloth roof and, just as we saw with the new R8 coupe, there’s no V-8 option to be had. Instead, the new R8 Spyder comes exclusively with a V-10 engine, though we hear a V-6 option may be added at a later date.

There was a new V-8-powered convertible in New York, though it was over at the Mercedes-Benz stand. The car is the Mercedes-AMG C63 Cabriolet, which is based on the first-ever C-Class Cabriolet. It matches the output of other C63 variants, meaning 469- and 503-horsepower ratings.
