The McLaren 650S is a quick car, as we discovered in our first drive, but how does it compare against its big brother, the P1?

You can find out in this video from TheBayAreaRacing. In the short clip, we see the 650S go up against a P1 in a drag race.

While the outcome should be obvious to most, it’s interesting to see how the two cars compare.

In case you’ve forgotten, the 650S has 641 horsepower, which is enough to see it hit 60 mph in under 3.0 seconds and rattle off the quarter mile in 10.5 seconds at 139 mph. The top speed is a claimed 207 mph, though we’ve seen examples going faster than that.

The P1 on the other hand has a massive 903 hp. It will also accelerate to 60 mph in under 3.0 seconds but its quarter mile time has been clocked at 9.8 seconds at 149 mph. Its top speed, meanwhile, is governed to 217.5 mph.
