Last month, Mercedes-Benz USA moved its headquarters from a complex in northern New Jersey to Atlanta, Georgia. And the company has already taken serious steps to put down roots in its new home south of the Mason-Dixon line.

Today, it was announced that the new home of the Atlanta Falcons—and the Atlanta United Major League Soccer team—will be officially called Mercedes-Benz Stadium. How much the naming rights, which run through 2042, cost the German giant haven't been released. But similar deals, most notably AT&T's $400-million bid for the Dallas Cowboys' home turf, have run into the hundreds of millions of dollars.

Like anything bearing the three-pointed star, the facility will be loaded with amenities. Along with the now-standard VIP boxes, upscale dining options, and VIP parking, the arena will feature a "first-of-its-kind video halo board," which will presumably employ holograms during replays. A focus will also be put on natural lighting, and the stadium is striving to comply with the U.S. Green Building Council's highest certification.

Also like many Mercedes-Benz products, the building will also be a convertible, as a retractable roof inspired by the Roman Pantheon's oculus will crown the facility.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium is set to open in 2017.
