American tuning legend Chip Foose revealed his first take on the 2015 Ford Mustang this week. He and the team at Modern Muscle Design have packed the car with a supercharged V-8 delivering more than 800 horsepower, and they’re going to give this first one away.

Zagato’s latest coachbuilt special is a V-8-powered GT called the Mostro, Italian for “Monster”. It’s been built to both celebrate Maserati’s centenary as well as honor the original Maserati 450 S Coupe Zagato race car that Sir Stirling Moss drove in the 1957 24 Hours of Le Mans. It made its debut this week at the 2015 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

General Motors Company [NYSE:GM] announced that it spent close to $175 million to upgrade its Lansing Grand River Assembly plant in Michigan for production of the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro. The first pre-production units are now being built and soon customer cars will start rolling off the line. They’ll be in showrooms this fall.

Another concept at the Villa d’Est Concours was the controversial BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage. While we’re unlikely to see the car enter production—everyone take a collective sigh of relief—some of its technologies, such as the carbon fiber construction and eBoost electrically-aided turbocharger, should start appearing on BMW’s production models soon.

Audi unveiled a new concept that combines its R8 e-tron electric supercar with its Piloted Driving autonomous car technology. The concept was unveiled this week at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show Asia in Shanghai, China. As for the production R8 e-tron, it’s due out sometime next year—minus the self-driving tech.

An American firm by the name of PSC Motors has announced plans for a hybrid supercar delivering upwards of 1,700 horsepower. A concept of the new car will be unveiled on Monday, and a production version is said to be arriving as early as next year.

Mercedes-Benz is close to completing work on its next-generation C-Class Coupe. The new two-door is expected to appear at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show in September but has already been spied with minimal camo gear. We’re also expecting a high-performance Mercedes-AMG variant to be revealed at the German show.
