Yoan Droumenq and Gabriel Durand were working together to get their Citroen C2 rally car from one end of the Rally Ronde de la Durance stage to the other. They didn't quite get there though.

Getting squirrelly through a series of small turns in a tight section of track, the car connected with one side of the trail and was sent airborne.

The car went up, and it actually went end over end before coming back down to Earth. A tree caught the car and it ended the wreck in spectacular fashion. Onlookers of the French rally rushed in to help, but it wasn't immediately necessary as both men appeared to be unhurt.

That's a pretty remarkable result for such a violent wreck. We're happy it ended this way for the pair though, as it clearly could've been much worse than having one banged up race car.
