Chevrolet announced a few updates for its 2016 model year Corvette Z06 in the past week. One of the updates is the availability of a special edition model that will be limited to just 500 copies. It’s called the C7.R Edition, and as the name suggests it was inspired by the C7.R endurance racer from Corvette Racing.

British coachbuilder and nascent automaker A. Kahn Design added a pickup to its Flying Huntsman family this week. It’s called the Flying Huntsman 105 Pick Up, and it has an extra 15 inches of wheelbase compared to the standard Defender 90 on which it’s based—all of it found under the hood. We’ll be seeing more from A. Kahn Design very soon, as the firm has also confirmed plans to unveil a new V-12 sports car in the coming week.

Another car we drove this week was the 2016 Mazda CX-3. After tossing the subcompact crossover around Arizona canyon roads, we found the little ute to be more like a little hatchback, and a damn good one at that.

Infiniti Concept Vision Gran Turismo

Infiniti recently designed a concept for the Gran Turismo Vision challenge, which pitted the world’s top design firms against each other to see which could come up with the most striking design for a car that best represents the Gran Turismo line of video games. Infiniti’s was the Vision GT, which this week was revealed in life-size form for the first time.

It would seem that there’s a lot of demand out there for flying cars given the number of wacky concepts that have come and gone. The latest is a credible design from Germany’s Carplane, which like another successful design, Slovakia's Aeromobil, more closely resembles a drivable plane than a car that flies.
