Chris Harris has traveled to Goodwood and he's brought his camera man with him, and that's a very good thing. That's because Harris isn't just there to ogle the pretty machines in attendance. Instead, he's there to drive and race a few of these classic bits of angry iron. This is the 73rd Goodwood Member's Meeting, and it looks to be just as special as the previous 72.

Harris does a bit of talking at the beginning of this video, which is part one of two. Soon though, he lets the cars do the talking as he jumps behind the wheel of a 1965 Porsche 911. He's participating in a one-make race, so it's all Porsche out on the Goodwood circuit battling for the lead... and it's truly a battle.

The video really is wonderful. This is due to the blend of flat-packed engine noise rapaciously grasping for your ears attention and the multitude of 911 coupes sliding through turns as the drivers sit nose to tail. The latter half of the video lets the cars do the talking, and Mr. Harris lets his driving speak equally loudly. He really is talented behind the wheel of an automobile.

As we said before, this is merely part one of two. The second half sees Harris piloting a Rover SD-1 that also happens to be a full-on race car. If the first part is any indication, the second part should be just as delightful.
