With an upgraded take on the 5.5-liter twin-turbo V-8 found in the standard S63 AMG Coupe (where it makes 577 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque), Brabus cranks 850 horsepower, 1,069 pound-feet of torque, and a top speed of 217 mph.

What all goes into such a mega upgrade? The engine is bored and stroked, for one, increasing displacement to 6.0 liters; the heads are machined for improved flow; a freer exhaust matches larger turbochargers; and a Brabus-designed carbon fiber air intake wearing gold heat shielding is fitted.
The resulting acceleration is fierce, flinging the large coupe to 62 mph in just 3.5 seconds and on to 124 mph in a mere 9.4. The 217 mph top speed? That’s a limitation of the tires, which simply can’t rotate any faster safely.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Brabus if it didn’t also offer a dramatic new look.
From the outside, we love it: the bronze/gold wheels are stylish (if a bit overlarge) and suit the black pain job and enhanced aerodynamics. Speaking of which, the front fascia, side skirts, and rear bumper all get restyled for improved airflow and looks.

Inside the car, a custom interior treatment sees copper accents on black leather upholstery and carbon fiber trim. Up close, those details look great—but taken as a whole, the effect is a bit gaudy to our eyes.
