This year’s Los Angeles Auto Show is shaping up to be one of the biggest in the event’s history, with more than 30 world premieres confirmed and almost double that amount when it comes to North American debuts. Japanese automaker Mazda will have one of the busier stands, as it’s confirmed it will be showing three cars for the first time at the show.

The three cars will be an all-new CX-3, previewed in this official teaser sketch, as well as updated versions of the existing CX-5 and 6.

The CX-3 is a subcompact crossover designed to take on the likes of the Chevrolet Trax, Nissan Juke and Ford EcoSport available overseas. It’s the fifth model from Mazda to feature a full range of fuel-efficient Skyactiv technologies as well as a body styled under the principles of the Kodo design language.

As for the updated CX-5 and 6, these will feature some minor tweaks to help keep them fresh as they approach their respective mid-cycles. A prototype for the updated CX-5 has been spied, revealing new fascia designs and tweaks to the lights.
