To some, the current Aston Martin V8 Vantage might be getting a bit long in the tooth. It's not as sharp a performer as some of its rivals, the automated manual version leaves a bit to be desired in the shifting arena, and it's generally a rather expensive proposition in its segment. Still, it's easily the best from a visual standpoint, and there's something special about simply being near such a machine.

There's another version of the V8 Vantage, however, that has created a bit of a stir in the exotic sports car segment. It's called the V8 Vantage GT, and it's here to stir your soul... and it's not as untouchable as you might think.

When you hear the words Aston Martin, you're sure to think of a gorgeous vehicle that costs many bags of money. The starting price of the V8 GT is $99k. It's available with the third pedal and six-speed manual gearbox, and it's splashed with a variety of racing-livery inspired paint schemes. If you were thinking about picking up an Audi R8 V8, Porsche 911, or Nissan GT-R, you should probably think twice. Your choice just got a whole lot more difficult.
