Castrol is keen on promoting its Edge oil lineup, which utilizes a component called Titanium FST to make sure it lasts for a long time. One way to help with such promotion is the creation of a video spot that shows off the benefits of said products. Or you can go in a different direction, and have a handful of race car drivers square off in a large blacked out environment lit up with lasers.

Castrol went with the latter.

The oil company is calling the video Blackout, and for good reason. It pits Ken Block, Mike Rockenfeller, Augusto Farfus, and Adrian Zaugg in a variety of machines. Block drives his GRC Ford, Rockenfeller rips through the course in an Audi R8, Farfus employs the use of a BMW M4, and Zaugg goes big with a Lamborghini Aventador.

The actual premise of the video is, if we're honest, a bit odd. Still, the visuals are intriguing, and the driving is moderately exciting. It also solidifies the fact that Block likes taking on a wide range of cars and drivers. The most interesting part actually happens when Block jumps over the R8 being driven be Rockenfeller. Not because of the jump, mind you, but because Mike clearly nails the dirt pile with the rear end of the Audi.

So as long as you're not affected by strobe lights, go ahead and hit play. Keep an eye out for the dirt smashing moment too.
