Video has been released showing a dramatic scene where the female driver of an Infiniti Q60 stuck on a railroad crossing in Maitland, Florida managed to escape just moments before her car was struck by an oncoming train. The driver of the car, 28-year-old Kristen Taylor, is alleged to have stalled the manual-equipped car, which she had only recently purchased new, just before the railroad crossing traffic arms were lowered. The accident occurred Monday of last week.

As the video from LiveLeak reveals, Taylor was in the car up until the train was just several feet away. You can see her swing the door open and leap out just before the impact. The train was traveling at approximately 35 mph.

Local authorities told the Orlando Sentinel that Taylor was still learning how to use a manual and that she first tried to restart the car after it stalled on the railroad crossing. Fortunately she escaped without any injuries, but her car wasn’t so lucky and is likely to be a complete write-off.
