As the team awaits the BMW M4 DTM’s arrival, you can see the pre-heated wheels and tires glowing a deep vermillion, while the pit crew themselves are a range of light blues. Then the car swoops into the scene, a coruscating tide of blues, yellows, and reds, jets of heat shooting out of the exhaust pipes as it slows to a halt.
As the car tears away, leaving hot rubber stripes on the pit lane, you can see the effect the few seconds of intense labor have had on the crew, most of whom are now glowing yellow and orange in places.
