Infiniti has confirmed that updated versions of its QX80 SUV and Q70 sedan will be presented at the 2014 New York Auto Show this week, with the latter set to feature a new long-wheelbase variant. In case you’re still not fully up to date with Infiniti’s revised naming strategy, the QX80 is the old Q56 and the Q70 is the M sedan.

The updated QX80 and Q70 are being introduced for the 2015 model year and are expected to arrive in showrooms in the fall. Both models will feature received styling, most likely bringing their respective looks closer in line with that of the 2014 Q50.

The 2015 QX80 will also get a new QX80 Limited range-topper that Infiniti says will feature special exterior and interior appointments. Some of these will include special leather trim and open-pore wood accents for the cabin, and shadow trim on the exterior. All 2015 QX80s will come with a 5.6-liter V-8 delivering 400 horsepower.

As for new long-wheelbase Q70, which will be badged a Q70L, Infiniti says it will come with five inches of additional legroom. The new variant should help sales of the Q70 in China, where many buyers of premium sedans often ride in the back rather than do the driving themselves. This model won’t get the existing Q70’s hybrid option but will come with the choice of a 333-hp 3.7-liter V-6 or 420-hp 5.6-liter V-8.
