Speaking with Autovisie, a spokesperson for Arrinera confirmed that an official debut for the Hussarya in its production form would take place this year and that the company anticipates building around 100 units per year. Final pricing for the Hussarya is yet to be confirmed, though the company has previously suggested a starting figure of about $160,000, though we suspect this will be revised higher upon the car’s debut.
Responsible for the design of the Hussarya is Pavlo Burkatskyy, who worked closely with the engineering team in order to ensure the car not only looked good but was also functional. Among the engineers working for Arrinera is none other than British supercar stalwart Lee Noble, the founder of supercar brand Noble. He’s been recruited to help sort out the car’s chassis.
Power in the Hussarya will come from a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 delivering 650 horsepower and 604 pound-feet of torque, with drive going to the rear wheels via an automated manual gearbox with paddle shifters. The engine is being sourced from General Motors while Italy’s CIMA will supply the gearbox. Initial performance estimates are a 0-60 mph time of 3.2 seconds, a quarter-mile time of 11 seconds flat and a top speed of around 211 mph.
The chassis, a mid-engine design, will be constructed mostly from high-strength steel. To keep weight down, the body will be constructed from composite materials, including--as an option--carbon fiber and Kevlar. A curb weight of just 2,900 is promised.
For the interior, Arrinera promises all the luxuries one can expect in a modern supercar. Some of the options will include carbon fiber trim, a track package with racing seats and harnesses, and a night vision package.
