A British sports car startup by the name of David Brown Automotive (no relation to David Brown of Aston Martin fame) has released its first product, the Speedster GT. The styling of the car shows obvious links to the Aston Martin DB5, but under the hood is a supercharged V-8 good for 510 horsepower.

Volvo has announced a series of updates across its range for the 2015 model year. They are mostly minor updates, though some models receive the automaker’s next-generation Drive-E engines.

We’ve learned of a new supercharger kit from Whipple that will boost output of the yet-to-be-released 2015 Ford Mustang GT to 700 horsepower. That’s up around 280 horses on the likely stock output.

You'll find all of this and more in today's car news headlines from around the High Gear Media network, right here at Motor Authority.
