If you needed to pick a car to drive on a weekend ski trip, would it be a Lamborghini Gallardo?
The Supercar Kids found this footage of German tuner Reiter giving one of its souped-up Gallardos a workout on the slopes, possibly because they couldn't fit skis in the car's small luggage compartment.
Needless to say, the skiers seemed more than a little puzzled when the Lambo charged up the slopes, V-10 wailing and snow flying off its studded tires. It's unclear what other modifications were made to the Gallardo, but it does sport a big rear spoiler that may or may not help accumulate what little traction there is on the snow.
It's hard to know what to say of a world where there is more than one video of a supercar on a ski slope, but there you go. A few months ago a modified Nissan GT-R with a reported 620 horsepower attacked a ski slope in Sweden, and even raced a couple of snowmobiles.
If this trend continues, all-wheel drive supercar rallying could become the next motorsport phenomenon.
Maybe then the Gallardo's replacement will get a shot at some snowy shenanigans. Set for an official unveiling at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show in March, the Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 will have a 5.2-liter V-10 producing 600 horsepower, allowing the car to stampeded from 0 to 62 mph in 3.2 seconds. All-wheel drive will be standard.
