It’s the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show this week and that means plenty of new announcements in the area of automotive electronics. Chevrolet was first off the ranks, announcing a new Performance Data Recorder for the 2015 Corvette.

Over the weekend, Subaru confirmed that the STI-enhanced version of its new 2015 WRX will be presented next week at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. Like the previous generation, the new WRX STI is expected to  build upon the regular WRX with stiffer suspension, increased output and more aggressive styling.

We have an exclusive spy video of the 2015 Porsche Cayenne, which we’re expecting to be revealed sometime in the spring. Only modest updates are due for the exterior of the vehicle, but under the skin expect a new range of powertrains including a plug-in hybrid option.

You'll find all of this and more in today's car news headlines from around the High Gear Media network, right here at Motor Authority.
