Mopar '14 Dodge Challenger to debut at SEMA 2013Enlarge Photo
Chrysler will unveil a limited-edition model at the 2013 SEMA show, but it's keeping the details under wraps.
So far, all we're getting is the taillight of a Dodge Challenger, a Mopar logo, and a name: Mopar '14.
The Mopar '14 is the latest in a series of Mopar-Edition Chrysler vehicles, including the Mopar '10 Challenger, Mopar '11 Charger, Mopar '12 300, and Mopar '13 Dart. Like those cars, the latest Mopar Challenger will probably come with some visual enhancements, and a few minor performance upgrades.
The previous Mopar '10 Challenger featured a T/A-style vented hood, black-with-blue-stripes graphics package that has since become a bit of a Mopar meme (we're no complaining), and a cold-air intake and strut-tower brace.
Chrysler's teaser photo shows a white-and-blue scheme, which looks like it will turn plenty of heads when the car is revealed.
"This limited-edition ride is for muscle-car fans who love high octane and customizable performance," Mopar president and CEO Pietro Gorlier said.
The Mopar '14 Challenger will most likely be a very limited edition: previous Mopar Edition models were made in batches of 500, and that will likely be the case with this one.
In addition to the Mopar '14 Challenger, Chrysler says it will show 19 other customized vehicles at its 15,300 square foot SEMA booth. A new attraction this year will be a line of Jeep performance parts from the new Mopar Off-Road Division.
SEMA opens November 5 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Check out our dedicated hub for the latest updates.
