Drifter and racer Ken Gushi has impressive skills behind the wheel, and this wasn't his first time up Pikes Peak in a Lexus IS F, so as you'd expect, the 2013 effort with the IS F CCS-R was a serious affair.
The video shows the highlights from the team's week on the mountain, from car prep to practice to the timed runs. Lexus was shooting for the nine-minute mark in this year's hill climb, a realistic--but very fast--target with the route now fully paved. If only the weather had fully cooperated.
A slippery course due to damp conditions slowed Gushi down considerably, to a final time of 12:03.085.
