Michael Bay, director of the upcoming Transformers 4 movie, has got the automotive world talking about a new Camaro concept destined to serve as the vehicle mode for the Autobot Bumblebee. Bay calls the Camaro a "2014 Concept Camaro" but the car’s styling doesn’t match that of the latest 2014 Chevrolet Camaro.

Could it be a preview of the next-generation, Alpha-based Camaro? After all, the 50th Anniversary Chevrolet Corvette Stingray concept that starred in the previous movie, 2011's Transformers 3 - Dark of the Moon, was a preview of the C7 Corvette Stingray going on sale this fall.

On the other hand, it could just be a slick movie prop designed to get people talking.

Hopefully we’ll know more by the time the Transformers 4 movie is released on June 27, 2014.

We can think of few better cars to enjoy a track day with than the McLaren MP4-12C, primarily because the car can be a sharp tool in the hands of both novices and pros. Oh, and as we found out recently, it's fast, and blazingly so.

Opel, Buick’s European cousin, has launched one of the most desirable versions of its Insignia Sports Tourer yet, the new Insignia Country Tourer. The Insignia Sports Tourer, of course, is sold locally in sedan form as the Buick Regal but don’t expect the new Insignia Country Tourer to make it over anytime soon.

A company based in the Czech Republic will build you a track car with numbers that put even a Formula One car to shame, all for just $149,000. That track car is the Aspiron, built by famous Corvette tuner Innotech.

This beast is another track car that made its debut during the past week. The car is the VŪHL 05 and it comes powered by a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine good for 285 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. If you like what you see, you’ll have to fork up at least $84,000 to park one in your garage.

Subaru’s current WRX (and its STI variant) is on its way out, soon to be replaced by an all-new model. To mark the end of the current model’s run, Subaru has launched a hardcore WRX STI tS TYPE RA. Sadly, it’s a Japanese domestic market exclusive.
