The video below may be the first on-track footage shot with Google Glass--and it was driven in a Cadillac CTS-V at Monticello Motor Club.
We can't be sure if this is the first track lap recorded with Google Glass, since there's no official registry of Google Glass precedents as far as we know. The video was shot by Gary Gastelu of Fox News.
To be honest, it's not that exciting as far as CTS-V laps go (sorry, Gary).
But the potential proliferation of Google Glass just got a little more tolerable, at least for the circumtrackularly inclined--imagine being able to not only record your own track lap videos, but to be able to watch others, also recorded in first person, before heading to an unfamiliar track yourself--all while hacking through the morning's TPS reports.
Better yet, what if you could overlay the ideal line on the track, in real time, as you're driving it, just like your favorite racing game?
Maybe these dorky Star Trek visors aren't so bad after all.
